A Nostalgic Encounter with Kylie Chan
A surprising and unexpected encounter with author Kylie Chan at Comic Con bought me back to my childhood when I used to read her novels, in particular her 'Dark Heavens' trilogy. She was one of the rare authors at the time that wrote fantasy through the lens of Asian culture. It was something that resonated with me at the time. Of course nowadays, there are many options for Asian fantasy, but at that time it not only enriched the narrative but also expanded horizons of fantasy literature.
Cosplay Extravaganza: Vibrant Atmosphere of Comic Con
The atmosphere at Comic Con is a vivid tapestry of creativity and enthusiasm, where fans gather to celebrate their shared love for pop culture. One of the standout features is the spectacular array of cosplay. Attendees don meticulously crafted costumes that range from classic comic book heroes to obscure anime characters.
I particularly enjoyed the Mandalorian outfits inspired by the Star Wars that showcased the incredible skills of their creators, customizing their attire, employing a mix of techniques, including 3D printing, painting, and sewing, which truly brings the characters to life.

But hands down the most impressive was the Bumblebee costume crafted on stilts. This towering creation captures attention effortlessly, as it moves and interacts with the crowd, bringing electricity to the space.

Thrills of Dungeons & Dragons: Escape from Revel's End
Set in a Forgotten realms, filled with danger and intrigue, players were tasked with navigating the Revel’s End, an infamous prison. The adventure kicked off with a chaotic yet thrilling time as one of the characters punched the cell door down without preparation or warning to their fellow players. This compelled the other players to rethink their strategy. The collaborative storytelling, integral to the D&D experience, was evident as players exchanged ideas and improvised solutions to their predicaments. Their combined efforts transformed a dire situation into a series of thrilling escapades, culminating in a final successful escape.

Also, painted my first miniature
This was my fist attempt to paint a zombie crossbowman. Some of the colors mixed together but actually created a dirty look that is somewhat thematic.
